I saw Lyfe in concert at the TLA in Philly. I was in the front row, right in the middle, and the concert was off the hook. Lyfe is a great performer. The best parts were when he sang "I Appreciate You" to a fan. His part sent chills down my spine! I loved his performance of Warriors, Cry, and Goodbye. He kills me with those high notes he hits. LOL. Love it! After the concert Lyfe took time to sign autographs and talk with his fans. He is so real and down to earth! His band and all his people seem real cool too. I have all three albums, and I put people down about Lyfe whenever I can because I think he is the flyest, most beautiful, most positive artist there is.
Last nite at the TLA in Philly Lyfe Jennings rocked the house, musically, spiritually and thurthfully! Anyone that has seen him in concert can testify that when he sings it brings chills to your body. He's just real and when he talks it just him. almost like he talking directly to you. His whole crew was great the drummer to the backup singers. Im so glad i got to see him. I thought it was so cute how the whole time you could see his family off the the right watching him. Like thats how real he is he got his kids right there with him. Even though he started late I couldn't even be mad at him cuz when he hit that first note my needs buckled. Keep keeping it real!
--So I just saw Lyfe perform last night at the House of Blues in Chicago, and let me just say that he did his thing. He puts so much emotion in his songs and you can feel every word that he is saying. After the concert he was signing autographs at a table and I just happened to be the first person in line and his son Phoenix was with him and let me say that Lyfe has to be the most humble, sweetest, down to earth guy I have ever met!! And his son is too cute (he signed my ticket stub too).
Keep doing your thing Lyfe!!! God Bless you
Okay, I just went to Ticketmaster.com. You can purchase tickets there, just in case any one had the challenge I did when looking for them. You can type in the Venue's name, which is "James L Knight Center." It is the Soul Jam Tour (of something like that) for August 2nd, with Frankie Berverly and Maze--they are the final act. I hope that helps--I will be there! I hope he performs as many songs as he does when he headlines the tour....
I am really looking forward to seeing Lyfe in concert. Unfortunately, the tickets for his concert in Miami are not on Ticketmaster and I've gone to several different sites....no luck so far. I will call the venue next. I will be traveling to Miami to see him and must book a hotel, so I need a ticket!!! By the way, I flew to New Jersey to see Tamia (she was with Jaheim)--I would love to see Lyfe and her together in concert...that would be amazing. Well, by any means, I will be in Miami to see LYFE.
What’s up Lyfe,
First and for most I want to say that I love your music, I can listen to all of them start to finish all day every day. Your so talented keep doin’ you baby !!!!!! You totally rocked it in Denver and I hope you come back real soon. For everybody else… if he’s coming to a town near you make sure you go and check him out… He’s amazing’, much luv Elicia
Lyfe, how sweet it is to see such an amazing soul get the chance to shine so high. I attended your Orlando show earlier this week with a few friends. It was a last minute decision to drive 1 1/2 hours away, but it was well worth it. The show was awesome! I was pleased to see that you are just as good performing live (if not better) as you are on your cd's. Your energy displayed was electrifying yet the vocals were still surperb. Your lyrics....., just simply real, deep, and definitely something to take hold of. It made me want to get the first two cd's out and press play!!!! I will advise anyone of any age, sex, &/or race to check you out live or on cd. Hopefully at the next show I attend (Miami or Atlanta), I will be smart enough to not step outside the door before I get the chance to get a personal hug at your autograph session!!! Keep up the good work, stay humble, and come to Tampa Bay, FL area soon, PLEASE!!!!! Oh yeah, all your background singers were good but the female stood out. When is her cd coming out?!?! She sounds like she's gonna be the truth! Be blessed. You are the kind of guy that I'd love to love, inside and out.
First and foremost, I have all three of your albums and they are all the bomb!!! No skipping at all. I just want to let Lyfe know that he is an amazing artist and he truly is the BEST. I heard Lyfe's interview this past Friday morning 6/27/08 on the Steve Harvey morning show, and that is how I heard about his Baby I'm a Star tour coming in concert to Orlando on Sunday June 29, 2008. I went to the concert with my mom, aunt, best friend, and sister. We drove together from Clearwater (Tampa Bay Area) and it was well worth the hour and a half drive. I must say that it is so good to hear inspirational music that is real and that everyone can relate to (all ages). I just hope that the younger generation will pay attention and open up their eyes to the messages that you have given. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to meet with Lyfe after the concert. It is nice to meet an artist who is so down to earth and humble. Lyfe you have been blessed with a special gift and talent. I want to thank you for sharing your gift with all of us. By the way this is Shena, if you remember. I know you have millions of fans. I'm sorry that you did not get to meet my mom at the end of the show. The entire crew did not get to meet with you so they are all looking forward to seeing you again at the Miami show on 8/2/08. Love always, Shena
I see the tour schedule but he's not coming to St. Louis. When he was here last time I had the flu and couldn't get out of the bed. I was so very sad. Please hurry back to St. Louis so I can see you.
What's up Lyfe.........
I just wanted to let you know that I LOOOOOVE your music and I listen to every single day. Especially the first album when you first got out of jail. I listen to the first song all the way to the last song. You are so real, and even though I am a female with no kids I can relate to some of the things that you talk about. Church people in particular. My dad is the kind that like to pass judgement on other people, and he's no better than either of us. Have you ever had the feeling where you want to express how you feel but don't know how to put them into words??? Well when I listen to your music that's how I feel. It's like your music express how I feel. Like right now my boyfriend is locked up right now and might be facing 15 years in the fed joint, and your music helps me stick with him, and I want to thank you for never giving up because you are very talented and I also like to thank God for using as a vessel.......
My sister surprised me with tickets to see Lyfe @ the Apollo. My sister has given me many gifts in my lifetime but this was the best gift ever. The concert was amazing it was too short for me he keep saying he only had one hour. He knows how to perform sometimes you go to shows and the artist just sings and do the two step. Not Lyfe he was on the drums, guitar and directing the band he was all over the place it was beautiful to see.He needs a bigger venue to demonstrate his talent. i would gladly take all my friends and family to see him. I have been a fan since stick up kid. He has something on his cds for everyone I mean everyone. He sounds just like the cd.If you never listen to him before i feel everyone needs a little Lyfe in their life. He is the truth he ending the show with must be nice I sung all the way home.
Oh my Gosh, I went to see Lyfe Jennings last night at the Apollo Theater in New York (right back where it all began for him).
Lyfe is so amazing and might I add fine as hell! Anyway he only performed for an hour.
Lyfe, you certainly have to give us a little more because an hour is only a warm up.
If you think he sounds good on the cd, you certainly need to hear him live. He gave me chills, umm, umm, umm.
I've been to plenty of concerts with great talents like R. Kelly, Mary J, Jay Z, Keyshia Cole, etc. I give them all their props especially Mary J.
But let me tell you that I was on a natural LYFE high during and after the show.
I just can't get enough of Lyfe Jennings. I listen to all three of his albums and have turned family, friends and co-workers on to him. I would love to see him collaborate with other great soul singers like Lauren Hill, Chrisette Michelle, Jill Scott, John Legend and Erica Bahdu.
Lyfe you are so, so amazing and please come back to New York and please give me two hours, one hour is just not enough.
Btw, the tickets were only $37.50. What a great buy!!!
